Winter Solstice 2008

I could not have imagined a more picture perfect first-day-of-winter as the 2008 winter solstice in Seattle. Heavy snow blanketed every street, old men were skiing to the store and kids were building life-size snowmen. Sure, it was a pain in the ass to drive anywhere, but it was a beautiful winter wonderland for everyone else who had no where to be.

Symbolically, James and I trekked to our *dream house* that is brand new, for sale and just barely beyond our reach right now. We believe that if it’s meant to be, it will happen. And what better day to visit “our” house and plan for new beginnings than on the first day of a new season?
