Make new friends, but keep the old

I had brunch today with three dear f riends I had not seen for a little while, Karisa, Maria and Maryanne. We studied abroad together four years ago in Rome, and had the time of our lives. They are all such wonderful young women and it was a joy to see them, although I wish that I’d had more time to catch up…

It reminded me how important it is to cherish and KEEP all of your true friends, whether you see them once a year or once a week. And by “true,” I mean a friend who really knows you, your hopes, dreams, quirks, and loves you anyways.

Here’s to our true friends, old, new and in between! Don’t ever take them for granted.
