We went to a birthday party for my dear friend this weekend, and Emile got hold of a camera. Here are some pictures from the perspective of a 4 year old:

Do you ever stop to think about what the world looks like from a child’s point of view?

  1. you should get emile a kid’s digital camera! we got kate the vtech kidizoom, and she loves it! she takes more interesting photos than some adults i know!

  2. Love that he got a hold of the camera. It makes you realize just how big everything must be to them! Super cute pics though…he did a very good job!

    1. I know! When I think of things from my childhood (the stairs, our backyard, etc), I always remember them as bigger then they actually are. Kids see things completely differently.

    1. Well, my father-in-law is a professional photographer, so perhaps he inherited some of his grandpa’s talent 😉 I’m posting more pics by Emile tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed these!

  3. My sister is a photographer and got a digital camera for her daughter. It’s such a joy to see what her 3 year old daughter find worthy to capture a memory of. Little children see the world in such beautiful innocense. I will definitely be getting one for my little man when he gets a bit older.

  4. I second Liz’s suggestion. The kiddie digital cameras are great, and you don’t have to worry about them dropping YOUR camera on its lens. It gives them a sense of ownership too. My kids love them!

    1. I figure that the kiddie cameras are pretty hard to break, huh? Sounds like a great idea for many reasons. Too bad Emile just had his birthday. I need to figure out a good excuse to get him one!
